The Sims 4, an unexpected companion in architectural modeling, is my most consistent creative outlet.

I find traditional architectural modeling tools to be static and lifeless, unable to accurately represent the spaces we may choose to experience and build community. Video game graphics, on the other hand, provide a comforting and familiar visual aesthetic.

——Community Library Park——

This lot was designed to be a community space that bridges accessibility and green spaces. The park includes a free library, a top-floor bar, public restrooms, chess tables, and an eatery outside. The library houses a sunken living room where visitors can exchange ideas, hold meetings, and peacefully read. Computers surround the conversation pit with books lining the walls, free for visitors to take. Large windows allow streams of light to envelop visitors inside throughout the day. Outside the library, visitors can purchase locally sourced food, play chess with a stranger or friend, and take a break on the swing set. Public restrooms are available to anyone who needs them. Community meetings occur regularly here, envisioning a neighborhood culture of kindness and respect.
