Slope Day T-Shirt Contest 2023-2024

I submitted this design in the 2023-2024 Slope Day T-Shirt Contest with inspiration drawn from the iSpy books I read as a child. This design serves as an ode to the vibrant tapestry of university life, capturing artifacts that resonate with college students. From wire headphones that connect individuals with shared rhythms to humble paper clips and stamps for letters home--this design tells a story of the diverse experiences of students at Cornell University. These objects may be left behind--during festivals like Slope Day--or held close

to the visitor, each piece holding a unique significance. This design’s vibrant colors parallel the exciting and loud energy that surrounds Slope Day festivities. In a nod to the diverse areas of study at Cornell, this design incorporates specific artifacts for different majors such as a paintbrush, calculator, trombone, magnetic, and fashion bow. This design not only captures the essence of Slope Day, but stands as a wearable narrative for the shared moments, academic endeavors, and vibrant spirit of Cornell University.
